Woodland 61, R.A. Long 59 — Tanner Huddleston’s sixth 3-pointer, with 12 seconds left, stopped a long league losing streak for the Beavers.
Huddleston, who finished with 21 points, had four of his 3-pointers in the fourth quarter. The go-ahead basket was a contested shot from well behind the 3-point line, according to Woodland coach Aaron Shepherd.
R.A. Long missed a close-range shot, then Woodland added a free throw with less than two seconds on the clock for the final margin. The Class 2A Greater St. Helens League win stopped a 13-game league losing streak for the Beavers.
Tannyr Knight scored 15 points, and Harley Bean 11 for Woodland, which had 11 3-pointers and 10 2-point baskets.
Bryce Eisele and Keenon Marin scored 18 points apiece for visiting R.A. Long.
The Lumberjacks started the game with a 9-0 burst and led 21-7 late in the first quarter. Woodland trailed by nine at halftime, but the lead changed hands several times during the fourth quarter.
