Carly Holboke has had a nice week. But the real test comes next week.

For the second time this week, the Mountain View junior broke the school record for points in a game by scoring 46 points in the Thunder’s 77-48 win over Hudson’s Bay in a Class 3A Greater St. Helens girls basketball game.

On Tuesday, Holboke scored 39 in a win over Fort Vancouver to set a school record. That mark lasted only four days.

“Carly had a nice game, but her teammates helped the cause,” Mountain View coach Mat Clark said. “They did a good job of moving the ball around to get her shots, so it was somewhat of a group effort. Carly said as much after the game. Typical Carly; she’s very team-oriented in that regard.”

Emma DuChesne had 12 points for the Thunder, and Bailey Gaspar and Bailey Lindsley had strong rebounding games.

“We’ve been using an eight- and nine-player rotation, and it’s starting to come together,” Clark said. “And that’s good because we’ve got Prairie and Camas next week. We’re going to need some collective contributions in those games.”

Treneisha Doyle scored 17 to lead the Eagles.
