Quinton Whitfield scored 11 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter to spark the visiting Trappers to a come-from-behind win.
Jordan Howard made two late free throws after grabbing a defensive rebound, and the Hilanders missed on a 3-pointer for the tie.
Fort Vancouver (6-5, 2-2) outscored Kelso 26-16 in the fourth quarter to earn the victory.
“We kind of finally got the tempo up and got more aggressive offensively and started attacking the hoop,” Fort Vancouver coach Scott Thompson said.
Thompson said Whitfield began demanding the ball around the basket and his teammates fed off that assertiveness, Thompson said.
