The Battle Ground Tigers shook off a slow start, grabbed the lead late in the third quarter, then held off the Titans to improve to 3-0 in the Class 4A Greater St. Helens League.
Haley Grossman had eight of her 10 points in the second half. She also grabbed eight rebounds for the Tigers.
Haley Hamilton also scored 10 points, and Nikki Bond added nine as Battle Ground set up a matchup of league unbeatens later in the week. The Tigers will face 3-0 Skyview on Friday.
Union held Battle Ground to four points in the first quarter, but the Tigers improved offensively throughout the game.
Bond connected on two free throws with about 40 seconds remaining to give Battle Ground a four-point advantage. Later, Hamilton got a steal and lay-up to seal the victory.
Jessica Chatman led Union with 16 points. Angelique Williams added 11.
