A Vancouver restaurant will host a Wednesday presentation centered around environmental issues and recreation programs in the Columbia River Gorge.
Led by Friends of the Columbia River Gorge, a Portland-based advocacy group, the “Gorge On Tap” discussion will focus on the organization’s efforts to clean up air pollution in the Gorge, and proposed coal export terminals that could lead to more coal being shipped through the area. The presentation will also touch on a program to connect Gorge towns with hiking trails, and a preview of a spring hiking program.
The event begins at 7 p.m. at the Brickhouse Bar & Grill, 109 W. 15th Street in Vancouver. Presentations will begin at 7:30 p.m.
