Emily Smith scored 16 points to finish with 1,000 for her high school career, but it wasn’t quite enough for the Beavers in this elimination game.

“It just seemed like every time we would tie, they would have an answer,” Woodland coach Glen Flanagan said. “We couldn’t quite get over the hump.”

River Ridge’s pressure also produced 22 turnovers from the Beavers (15-8).

Smith also had seven rebounds.
