Girls basketball: Union 50, Thomas Jefferson 32

Jessica Chatman had 18 points, 13 rebounds and four steals as Union overcame a slow start to beat Thomas Jefferson of Federal Way in a Class 4A bi-district play-in game Saturday in Auburn.

The Titans (14-7) will play at Federal Way on Wednesday night in the first round of the bi-district tournament.

Union was held to five points in the first quarter, but rallied to take an 18-14 lead into halftime. The Titans blew the game open with an 18-7 advantage in the fourth quarter.

Tuileisu Anderson had 14 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks for Union. Angelique Williams added 11 points and five steals.
