Clark County Public Health is reminding residents they can save money on prescription drugs.
The health department operates a prescription drug discount program that provides residents with discount cards accepted at most pharmacies. All county residents can use the cards, regardless of age, income or existing health coverage.
Residents can use the cards for their family members when a prescription is not covered by insurance. There are no restrictions or limits on how many times the card can be used.
The average discount is 26 percent for an average savings of nearly $11 per prescription.
The cards are available for free at locations throughout the county, including city halls, libraries abd participating pharmacies. Other sites are the Center for Community Health, 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd.; Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.; and Auto License Department, 1408 Franklin St.
