The Hilanders led most of the way to advance to the 3A Greater St. Helens League semifinals.

Kelso will play Camas at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Fort Vancouver High School. That winner advances to meet Prairie on Friday for the district championship.

As the No. 4 seed into the bi-district tournament, Mountain View (9-13) will next play on Feb. 15 at Franklin Pierce High School in Tacoma against the No. 2 entry from the Narrows League.

The 12-team bi-district tournament is double-elimination to determine six Class 3A state-tournament berths.

“Kelso had a nice team defensive game plan and did a good job of executing it,” Mountain View coach Mat Clark said.
