The Plainsmen locked up second place in the Class 4A Greater St. Helens league, and more importantly for them, a spot in the bi-district playoffs.

Caleb Dressler, Tre Clark and Ajay Jenkins combined to score all 22 fourth-quarter points for the Plainsmen, who erased a two-point deficit.

Jenkins buried a 3-pointer toward the end of the third quarter to keep Evergreen close. Then Dressler had 11 of his game-high 20 points in the final period.

With Evergreen up six with about a minute to go, Skyview missed a free throw, then Clark scored on a lay-up just after that miss to seal the victory.

Austin Gurnsey had seven rebounds, most coming in the fourth quarter to stop any Skyview momentum.

Evergreen finished 7-5 in league play.

Austin Bonds led Skyview with 17 points.

The result leaves two teams fighting for the final playoff berth from the league. Skyview fell to 5-6, but can still get the No. 3 seed by beating Battle Ground on Thursday. A Battle Ground win would send the Tigers to the playoffs.
