Jenka Stiasna scored the go-ahead basket in the final minute, and Sydney Allen added two free throws as the Papermakers prevailed in Monday’s seeding tie-breaker.

The result means Camas is the No. 2 seed for this week’s Class 3A Greater St. Helens League Tournament.

Kelso will play against Mountain View on Tuesday at Fort Vancouver High School, and Tuesday’s winner will advance to meet Camas in the GSHL semifinals on Thursday. The Thursday winner faces Prairie for the district championship on Friday. The losing team on Tuesday will be the fourth seed into the bi-district playoffs.

Monday’s tie-breaker for second place was played at Prairie. Allen finished with 19 points and Stiasna had 12 as Camas won a back-and-forth game. The largest lead for either team was six points.

A 6-foot shot by Stiasna in the final minute was the last lead change. Allen’s two foul shots with nine seconds left extended the lead to three points.

Kelso’s 3-pointer for the tie came up just short at the buzzer.
