With a little less than two weeks to go before the start of the next legislative session, 18th District lawmakers are hosting a town hall in Camas on Saturday.
The event will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., at the Camas Public Library, 625 N.E. Fourth Ave.
Sen. Ann Rivers, (R-La Center), and incoming Rep. Liz Pike, (R-Camas), will spend the hour meeting with constituents. They’ll take questions and offer their perspectives on issues expected to come before the Legislature starting Jan. 14, when it will convene at the Capitol in Olympia. Those issues include support for public education, ways to encourage job creation and the need to develop a sustainable state budget.
A town hall is also planned for Saturday morning, from 10 to 11, at Battle Ground City Hall, 109 S.W. First St.
