The Clark County Historical Museum has extended its “recruitment” period for local veterans who can share the stories behind their military-inspired tattoos.

Entries must be received no later than Jan. 5.

The tattoos could be part of a “Vet Ink” exhibit scheduled to open early in 2013. It will feature local people who have tattoos from past or current military service.

Veterans interested in participating can click on the link at http://www.cchmuseum.org/?p=5474.

Submit a completed form and a photograph of the artwork by mail or in person to the museum, 1511 Main St., Vancouver, WA, 98660. They also can be emailed to cchm@pacifier.com, using “tattoo” in the subject line. For information, call 360-993-5679.

Veterans selected to participate in the exhibit must be available for interviews and photo sessions from Jan. 9 to 19.
