Girls basketball: Kelso 58, Battle Ground 39

Sierra Richards had 14 points and 11 rebounds as Kelso was a runaway nonleague victor Friday at the Mark Morris Holiday Tournament.

Kelso (5-4) came out hot, firing their way to a 19-10 first-quarter advantage and 15-point halftime lead.

“It was probably the best start we had all season,” Kelso coach Lacey DeWeert said.

Jamilee Iddings led Kelso with 15 points, and Loryn Musgrove had 10 points and six steals.
