Girls basketball: Castle Rock 49, La Center 28

Katie Whitten had 14 points, four assists and three steals, but the Wildcats could not keep up with first-place Castle Rock in a Trico League game.

The Rockets, who led 31-15 at halftime, were paced by Tieney Uhlenkott’s 20 points. Samantha Wise added five points and six rebounds for La Center.
