The Trappers survived the half-court battle, holding off Hidden Valley’s final surge at the end of the game at the North Marion Tournament in Aurora, Ore.
Fort (4-4) led by 16 points with about 4:30 to play and didn’t score for the rest of the game, while Hidden Valley of Grants Pass, Ore., finished on an 8-0 run.
Jordan Howard scored 14 points and Tre Eisenhut had 10 for the Trappers. Deonte Hawkins had seven assists and six steals.
Fort advances to play 3A Greater St. Helens League rival Hudson’s Bay at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
