Boys basketball: Battle Ground 72, Hermiston 53

The Tigers came alive after halftime to beat the visiting Bulldogs.

Daniel Duong and Kevin Haynes scored 10 points apiece to fuel a third-quarter surge for Battle Ground (4-3). The Tigers trailed by six points at halftime but outscored the Bulldogs 24-11 in the third quarter. The momentum continued into the fourth quarter as Battle Ground pulled away.

Haynes finished with a team-high 18 points for Battle Ground. Miles Luke scored 16 and Duong finished with 13 points.
