Boys basketball: Castle Rock 55, Woodland 54

Cale Johnson scored 20 points, and the Rockets hit their free throws down the stretch to edge the Beavers in a Trico League matchup.

Woodland missed the front end of a 1-and-1 with 7 seconds left but got the ball back. The Beavers, though, did not get up a quality shot.

Kyle Hendrix led Woodland with 25 points and 13 rebounds. He scored 17 of his team’s 25 second-half points, including all eight in the fourth quarter.

Logan Piper had eight points and 10 rebounds for the Beavers. Tanner Huddleston added nine points.
