With leading scorer Carly Holboke limited by foul trouble, freshman Christina Lundy led a strong team effort in the victory for the Thunder.
“At Mountain View we preach to these kids that everybody matters, and this is why,” coach Mat Clark said. “Our system is geared to it. We can win a game like this because everybody matters.”
Lundy finished with a game-high 20 points, while Bailey Lindsley had 11 and Emma DuChesne added 10. Holboke was limited to nine points while playing what Clark said was about 12 minutes.
Mountain View led 42-38 entering the fourth quarter before extending the margin. The teams combined to shoot 67 free throws, with the Thunder making 23 of 29 attempts.
