Luke DuChesne scored 21 points and Shane McCauley 17, and the Thunder surged after halftime to hand the host Falcons their first loss of the season.
DuChesne scored seven of his points in the fourth quarter. He and Taylor Drey each hit meaningful shots down the stretch to seal the Class 3A Greater St. Helens League win for Mountain View (5-3, 2-1).Prairie (6-1, 1-1) led 30-27 at halftime. Mountain View outscored Prairie 14-7 in the third quarter.
“We struggled hitting shots and Mountain View did a good job playing pressure defense,” Prairie coach Kyle Brooks said.
Mountain View outscored Prairie 13-7 from the free-throw line. In the second half, the Thunder went to the line 12 times compared to five free throws for Prairie.
