Boys basketball: Woodland 66, Seton Catholic 39

Harley Bean and Kyle Hendrix sparked a third-quarter defensive surge to help the Beavers put away the Cougars in a Trico League game.

Woodland outscored Seton Catholic 18-9 in the third quarter to stretch its lead to 45-27.

Bean finished with a game-high 21 points, as Woodland (1-2) posted its first win of the season. Five other Beavers scored at least six points, and Hendrix grabbed 10 rebounds.
