Boys basketball: Evergreen 56, Washougal 49

Ajay Jenkins scored seven of his 16 points in the third quarter to help the host Plainsmen edge in front. Evergreen outscored Washougal 18-12 in the third quarter to build a six-point lead.

Robert Franks also scored seven points, 11 rebounds, five assists for the Plainsmen during the third quarter, and Andre Johnson played big down the stretch for Evergreen. Jenkins added seven rebounds.

Aaron Diester scored 24 points and 19 rebounds for Washougal, and Mike McElroy scored 14 including 12 before halftime.
