Concordia University junior midfield Hannah Kimsey is one of three Cavaliers to garner NAIA All-America recognition for women’s soccer, and is one of two named to the First Team.

The Columbia River High School graduate and senior defender Jenna Peterson of Federal Way are the first Concordia teammates on the All-America First Team since the 2009 season.

For Kimsey, the national honor was the first of her career and comes after she dominated the midfield as a central player for Concordia this season.

Kimsey led the Cavaliers with six assists this season, while she also scored four goals as well.

The NAIA All-America committee, which is comprised of the NAIA-Women’s Soccer Coaches Association officers and seven additional women’s soccer coaches, select the All-America teams.

Concordia University junior forward Septi Danciu has been named to the NAIA All-America Second Team for men’s soccer.

The Evergreen High School graduate, originally from Romania, was previously named Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of the Year.

Danciu led the Cavaliers and the CCC with 19 goals, six assists and 44 total points this season. He also led the nation with nine game-winning goals this season.

Sych had five goals and five assists for the Vikings this season, and played a key role on a defense that allowed just nine goals in 23 games. During one stretch, the Vikings recorded 10 consecutive shutouts and had a scoreless string of 919 minutes and 29 seconds.

Also, Western Washington junior forward Joana Houplin, a graduate of Columbia River High School, was named to the West Region All-Star second team.

Linfield College senior defender Emily Allison was named NCAA Division III All-West Region Second Team for women’s soccer.

The Hockinson High School graduate was earlier named Northwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
