A 21-year-old man linked with the Sureno street gang appeared Monday in Clark County Superior Court on suspicion of first-degree attempted murder and assault of a gang associate in August.
Gregorio Robert Chavez, who goes by the street name, “Frost,” was apprehended earlier this year in California but fought his extradition back to Washington, said Camara Banfield, deputy prosecuting attorney.
Two other suspects, Stefan A. Duran, 21, and Connie C. Gadberry, 20, were apprehended at the same time. They agreed to extradition and were arraigned earlier this year on first-degree attempted murder and assault. Their trial is Feb. 11. Chavez will be arraigned on the same charges Friday.
Judge Barbara Johnson set bail at $500,000 due to Chavez’s extensive criminal history and flight risk.
