A 24-year-old motorcyclist was killed early this morning on Highway 14.
The crash happened at about 2:50 a.m., as the motorcyclist was riding east on the highway near Evergreen Boulevard. He attempted to change lanes, lost control of the bike and hit a guardrail, according to a Washington State Patrol news bulletin.
The rider was ejected and his motorcycle landed 800 feet east of the crash scene, blocking both highway lanes, the state patrol said.
The highway was blocked for more than three hours following the crash.
Speed was listed as a factor in the crash, though the state patrol is still investigating.
The motorcyclist, who lives in Vancouver, hasn’t been identified, pending notification to his family.
