The Evergreen Plainsmen needed just one week to get that winning feeling this season.
Meanwhile, the struggles at Fort Vancouver continue.
Justin Straup rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns — on five carries — to lead the Plainsmen to their first victory since 2010.
Fort Vancouver, meanwhile, has dropped 16 in a row dating back to 2010.
Straup got it going in a hurry for the Plainsmen, scoring a 49-yard touchdown run on the third play of the game. He had a 27-yard touchdown in the second quarter, then capped his night with a 69-yard TD run to make it 33-0 in the third quarter.
“It was so exciting. Last season, I only had two touchdowns all year. Three touchdowns in this game is amazing,” Straup said. “Nothing better.”
Te’Kwon Wallace broke several tackles en route to a 54-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to make it a running clock.
