Vancouver police Wednesday night were investigating a motorcycle accident near the Fred Meyer store at 166th Avenue and Southeast McGillivray Boulevard.

The motorcycle rider, who was traveling down McGillivray, said he was cut off by a car that drove away from the scene, officials said.

They said the motorcyclist fell off his bike around 5:30 p.m. and was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. His name was not released.
