Ridgefield — Sleep Country’s recent Clothing Drive for Foster Kids collected 11,502 new clothing items for the nearly 20,000 foster kids in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. New clothing was donated at all Sleep Country locations from June 4 through July 22. Jeans were donated at a Kelly Clarkson concert on July 21 at the Sleep Country Amphitheater in Ridgefield. Donations were distributed among 18 foster care nonprofit partners in the Northwest. Locally Sleep Country donated 2,540 items in the Vancouver-Portland area. Bridge the Gap in Clark County received 500 articles of clothing, and Families for Kids in Kelso received 560 items.
