Two people were injured after a log truck rolled onto its side Friday afternoon along state Highway 14 just east of Underwood in Klickitat County.

Gregory Whitefoot, 54, of White Swan was driving a log truck south on state Highway 141 at Milepost 5 around 12:41 p.m., and turning east onto Highway 14. A second log truck heading west along Highway 14 swerved to the right to avoid colliding with Whitefoot’s truck and rolled onto its left side, coming to rest on the westbound shoulder of Highway 14.

The driver of the second log truck, Kyle Kolbaba, 44, and his passenger, Jennifer McCall, 32, both of Goldendale, were transported to Skyline Hospital in White Salmon for neck and back injuries.

Traffic was blocked from 12:45 p.m. until about 5 p.m., while the Washington State Patrol responded to the incident, according to a Washington State Department of Transportation bulletin.
