What’s the buzz from the world of sports? Here are some items that will have people talking:

Did you happen to see the Seattle Seahawks DESTROY the Kansas City Chiefs in the third NFL PRESEASON game?!!
Yes we did.
Did you see RUSSELL WILSON light up the Chiefs for 185 yards and two touchdown in THREE quarters?!!
Yes we did.
Well? Aren’t you EXCITED yet?!!
Not quite.
This is still the preseason, and the Chiefs aren’t exactly favored to do much of anything in the REGULAR season, so as impressive as the Friday win at K.C. might seem, let’s just wait and see who gets the Week 1 snaps for the Seahawks and how that plays out.
Then we’ll decided if any bandwagon jumping is necessary.

“This is just as exciting as when the Dodgers claimed Chavez Ravine from the poor.” — tweeted by @OldHossRadbourn on Friday.
Yeah, this was a snarky tweet, and yet seemed rather appropriate in light of the news that the Los Angeles Dodgers had put in waiver claims on the Boston Red Sox first baseman Adrian Gonzalez and pitcher Josh Beckett.
Then it comes out that the Red Sox are also willing to throw in outfielder Carl Crawford and infielder Nick Punto for a package of Dodgers players including James Loney and a top minor leaguer.
Red Sox Nation can’t be pleased with this development. The team is dumping salary, but along with that dumping the talent they thought would keep them among the AL East elite.
You gotta think, somewhere Theo Epstein and Terry Francona might just be cracking a smile.

Sports Illustrated senior writer Michael Rosenberg tweeted: “My memories of not watching the Tour de France are ruined forever.”
Love him, hate him, think he’s a cheater or an inspiration, Lance Armstrong has certainly left his mark in sports and on the people he has met. Or maybe not.
But Rosenberg wonders in his column on SI.com if anyone really cares that Armstrong gave up his legal battle with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.

“Well, except maybe he can.
“He is banking on one thing here: That we don’t care if he used drugs.
“He is probably right.
