A driver suffered minor injuries Monday morning after her BMW sport utility vehicle hit a deer crossing Northeast Ward Road at Northeast 88th Street in the Sifton area, according to Fire District 3 Firefighter Andrew Blomdahl.
The deer was crossing Ward at 10:12 a.m. when it was struck by the SUV and slid onto the vehicle’s hood. The SUV was damaged, but the deer didn’t go through the windshield, Blomdahl said.
The driver was sent to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center for minor injuries.
Fire District 3 responded, along with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington State Patrol. The woman’s name was not released.
