Two teenage boys and two men were taken into custody early Friday after a drive-by shooting near Fort Vancouver High School.

Police were dispatched to the reported drive-by shooting near the intersection of 18th Street and Carlson Road around 11:15 p.m. Thursday.

Witnesses told police that people in two cars were in a verbal fight and road-rage incident. According to a Vancouver police news release, the teen fired shots out of one of the cars after it was hit with a bottle thrown by someone from the other car.

No injuries were reported.

Police, including SWAT officers, went to an apartment on the 4200 block of East 18th Street. The teen, who is 17, was taken into custody and booked into the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center on suspicion of first-degree assault. Another teen, also 17, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault, police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said. Their names were not released.

Also arrested for being involved in the incident were Tylor Myers, 18, and Kenneth G. Kirkland, 21. The two adults were booked into the Clark County Jail.

“The investigation is still active and no further information is available at this time,” Kapp said in the release.
