Some like it hot and some like it not. I am in that second category, so I need to plan accordingly as temperatures later in the week top 100 degrees. I survived the last mini heat wave, so I guess I will survive this one as well.
Even the overnight low temperatures will be on the warm side Thursday and Friday, hanging around 70 degrees or so locally. There is a threat of thunderstorms, which could rumble over the weekend or just loom on the horizon, so stay tuned.
After all, it is summer, so we expect these extremes to occur every so often. It might be a great time to venture down to the ocean beaches and wade into that cool Pacific water. If the east winds develop as forecast, it will be hot right down to the coastal strip. Too hot to walk on the sand? Oh yeah.
Funny thing about wading through the edge of the surf on a hot day — it is so pleasant, but venture a few yards up on the beach, and it feels like the desert or something. Oh well, it is what makes memories.
