Bartek ties for ninth in stroke play qualifying

Columbia River senior-to-be Chloe Bartek finished tied for ninth after stroke play qualifying Monday at the 57th Pacific Northwest Junior Girls’ Amateur Championship, being held at Sunland Golf and Country Club in Sequim.

Bartek shot rounds of 38-41 for a 7-over-par 79.

Jordan Ferreira of University Place and Hannah Swanson of Forest Grove, Ore., both shot 2-under par 70 to claim co-medalist honors.

The match play portion of the championship begins Tuesday morning.
