OLYMPIA — Customers of Waste Management in the Seattle-Everett area will have a chance to tell state regulators about the Teamsters strike during a public hearing Thursday evening in Woodinville.
The state Utilities and Transportation Commission is investigating the company’s contingency plan in light of its inability to collect most garbage, yard waste and recycling bins during the walkout.
The strike disrupted collections for more than 200,000 customers. Drivers voted to accept a contract last Thursday and returned to work.
