BoltBus, a division of Greyhound Lines, will bring its enhanced service to the Northwest this month by offering nonstop trips between Portland and Seattle, the company announced Monday. The service will begin May 17.
BoltBus boasts several features to attract riders, among them free Wi-Fi Internet access, electrical outlets and reserved seating. One-way fares will range from $6 to $10, plus a booking fee.
The new option will offer four daily trips in both directions, according to early schedules. In Portland, BoltBus will operate from downtown at 647 S.W. Salmon Street. In Seattle, the service will stop at Fifth Avenue South and King Street, near the International District Station. The service first launched in 2008, and has previously only operated in the eastern U.S.
Anticipated trip time is 3 hours 15 minutes to 3 hours and 30 minutes.
