Three people were transported to the hospital after a Monday morning crash on Fourth Plain Road.
The two-car, T-bone crash was reported shortly after 10 a.m. at Fourth Plain’s intersection with Northeast 157th Avenue in east Vancouver, officials said.
Firefighters with the Vancouver Fire Department, Vancouver police and AMR responded.
Two elderly patients were sent to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center on trauma alert, meaning the hospital emergency room staff was told to be ready for their arrival, said Capt. Dave James, a Vancouver fire spokesman. The two’s injuries were thought to be serious but non-life threatening.
They were in a Ford Crown Victoria that had significant front-end damage, James said.
A younger woman from the second car, a Hyundai, was also sent to the hospital. Her injuries were not serious, James said.
The patients’ names and cause of the crash were not released.
