What’s the buzz from the world of sports? Here are some items that will have people talking:

Say what you will (or won’t) about the Seattle Seahawks 2012 draft class.
Seahawks general manager John Schneider made the pick he felt was best for the Seahawks and not Mel Kiper Jr.
The Seattle Times’ Danny O’Neil did some searching and came up with how other media types graded the Seahawks efforts:
• ESPN.com Mel Kiper Jr. — C-
Quote: “The needs were met outside of wide receiver, but in terms of maximizing value, there are huge questions.”
• CBS Sports Pete Prisco — C+
Quote: “They made a questionable move at the top with Irvin, bounced back by taking Wagner, but then took Russell Wilson in the third when they just signed Matt Flynn. Why?”
• NFLDraftScout.com Rob Rang — C
Quote: “Drafting a specialist at No. 15 is a stretch but despite boasting a very good defense on first and second down a year ago, Seattle’s lack of pass rush has killed them in recent years.”
• CNNSI.com Chris Burke — C
Quote: “QB Russell Wilson has a bright future, even if Seattle didn’t really need him. Everything else was very blah.”

Seems as of the Boston Celtics will lose the services of Rajon Rondo for some of the NBA playoffs.
Not to an injury (as has been the Game 1 trend), but to bumping an official.
Rondo said the bump was an accident.
Wrote Eric Freeman of Yahoo Sports: “While Celtics fans might have a case for no suspension, Rondo also continued after tripping and pushed his chest out a little bit. Using prior incidents as precedent, I imagine Rondo will have to sit out at least one game. Celtics coach Doc Rivers — as noted by the Celtics’ official Twitter account — said he’d be surprised if Rondo misses any games.”
