Clark County was well represented in the National Science Bowl this weekend.
Two schools from the Evergreen school district competed against teams from around the country in the fast-paced science quiz that resembles the TV show Jeopardy.
Mountain View High School and Shahala Middle School had each won its regional science bowl to advance to nationals.
In the round-robin portion of the nationals, Mountain View did not rack up enough wins to advance to the playoffs. It beat two teams, tied with one and lost to four, according to information from the Department of Energy, which organizes the contest.
Shahala fared better. The middle school students beat all but one team in their division and advanced to the knock-out stage along with seven other schools from around the country.
