Fishermen’s Marine to offer seminars
PORTLAND — Nine free seminars dealing with fish species ranging from kokanee to tuna to fall chinook will be offered between May and September at Fishermen’s Marine and Outdoor, 1120 N. Hayden Meadows Drive.
The schedule, topics and starting times include: May 23, 6:30 p.m., trolling for kokanee; June 6, 6:30 p.m., Columbia River summer chinook; June 28, 6 p.m., albacore tuna fishing; July 11, 6:30 p.m., albacore tuna; July 18, 6:30 p.m., Deschutes River summer steelhead; Aug. 8, 6:30 p.m., Columbia River fall chinook; Aug. 15, 6:30 p.m., Tillamook Bay fall chinook; Sept. 5, 6 p.m., GPS basics, and Sept. 6, 6:30 p.m., Columbia River fall chinook.

Carson-to-Stevenson run slated May 5
STEVENSON — Registration is open for the sixth annual Carson-to-Stevenson Ridge Run on May 5 in Skamania County.
The 16-kilometer (9.92-mile) event begins for walkers at 8 a.m. and for runners at 8:30 a.m. at Wind River Middle School, 441 Hot Springs Ave., Carson. It finishes at the Skamania County Fairgrounds.
