Soccer fields to be upgraded

Harmony Sports Complex — The United Soccer Alliance wants to bring improvements to the soccer fields at the Harmony Sports Complex, 1500 N.E. 192nd Ave. The three existing fields will be shifted south, to make way for planned future baseball fields. Those fields will get new synthetic turf, lighting, drainage, fencing and walkways. Vancouver officials are accepting comments on the proposal through May 3, but the project is expected to have little environmental impact and the city does not plan to hold a public hearing. Work is expected to get under way this summer.
