North Salmon Creek — “When love and skill work together, expect a miracle.” That’s the motto of the Skyview High School Reign Dance Team, which has proven how those words work. In early April, the team won the championship trophy at the Northwest Association of Performing Arts Regional Winter Guard Open Competition for their piece, “Talking in Circles.” That’s after taking second place in the dance show category of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association state championship and a first place in the district championship. The team has been invited to compete in the Winter Guard International National Championships in Dayton, Ohio, next school year. The team is led by Pattie Joe Allinger.
