• Marnee Alfson is the new finance and administrative services coordinator at M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust. Alfson has several years of experience in project and administrative processes management, most recently with McKinstry & Co.
• William D. Back of Vancouver has received the Distinguished Service Award, the highest honorary recognition an employee can receive from the U.S. Department of the Interior. It is granted for an outstanding skill or ability in the performance of duty, outstanding contribution made during an eminent career in the department or an exceptional contribution to public service. Back has served as an attorney in the solicitor’s office since 1976 and as deputy regional solicitor of the Pacific Northwest region since 1992.
• John Cameron, wealth management senior vice president and investment/advisory group manager for Sterling Bank (formerly First Independent Bank), has been designated a certified financial planner. The classification means Cameron has met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.
• Stacey Graham has been named senior vice president and integration executive at Sterling Bank. She had been chief strategy officer/executive vice-president at First Independent Bank, which was purchased by Sterling.
