The city of Vancouver is seeking applicants for a vacancy on the Vancouver Public Facilities District Board of Directors, which owns the Hilton Vancouver Washington.
Applications for the four-year term are due to the city manager May 21.
The board is appointed by the city council, and the members are selected as follows: two members are appointed at large; and three members are appointed based upon recommendations from local organizations that include the Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, local economic development organizations, and local labor councils. The current board vacancy will be filled from recommendations from local organizations.
The city PFD is a municipal corporation governed by a five-member board of directors.
The Hilton is leased by the Downtown Redevelopment Authority from the PFD, which owns the property. The board typically meets twice a year: once in June and once in December.
