LA CENTER — Antique spinning wheels, including a “great walking wheel” built in the 1880s by Civil War veteran and Clark County pioneer Ira Eddy Spencer, will be part of the La Center Historical Museum’s “Spin-In” from noon to 4 p.m. April 21.

The event features demonstrations of spinning techniques, wool carding and spindling by members of a north Clark County spinners and textile experts group. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.

The museum is at 410 W. Fifth St., La Center. Call Barbara Barnhart at 360-263-3308. The spinning wheels are on the museum’s Facebook page.
