Evergreen panel to meet Thursday about book request

The Instructional Materials Committee of the Evergreen school district meets at 5 p.m. Thursday to discuss a request to reconsider a book for district classrooms.

The book the committee will discuss is “Don’t Take Love Lying Down,” by Puyallup author Brad Henning.

The book teaches young people about healthy relationships and how to prepare themselves for marriage, according to information on the author’s website.

The committee meets at the district offices at 13501 N.E. 28th St., Vancouver. The meeting is open to the public.
