Actor to perform at mental health banquet

Actor, musician and storyteller Swil Kanim will perform during the annual Community Services Northwest celebration dinner at 6 p.m. April 26.

Community Services Northwest is a private nonprofit agency that provides mental health services, addiction treatment, specialized housing and more for low-income adults and families. The dinner will include presentations by board members.

Kanim, a performance artist, starred as Mouse in the 2002 movie “The Business of Fancy Dancing” and appeared in several episodes of “Northern Exposure.”

The event is at the Red Lion Hotel Vancouver at the Quay, 100 Columbia St. Tickets are $50. For tickets or more information, call Community Services NW at 360-823-1065 or visit communityservicesnw.org.
