Salmon Creek — Buying one $10 bag of organic coffee from local Kiwanis clubs can achieve a double dose of good: fight tetanus and encourage women coffee growers in Africa and other developing regions. Profits from the coffee sales are donated to UNICEF through Kiwanis International’s Eliminate Project, which aims to end neonatal tetanus by immunizing 129 million mothers and babies. The price of one bag of coffee provides roughly two doses of the vaccine. Rain Drop Roasters of Ridgefield roasts the beans for a fee.
