Not much new in the weather department this week locally — the forecast calls for rain/showers/rain/showers, etc. There should be an abundance of May flowers to say the least.
We managed to get through the weekend on a dry note until about darkness Sunday evening when the rains returned, pretty much on schedule. It was a good soaker, with over a half-inch here in the city and upwards of 1 or 2 inches in the Clark County foothills.
Most of the precipitation that fell was rain at the Cascades pass levels, but snow fell at the higher elevations. There may be a few inches later today at the pass levels before the freezing level pops back up.
The overall weather pattern keeps higher pressure to our south and lower pressure to our north and I guess the Pacific Northwest gets the spread between the two, in the liquid form.
