Taylor Bussey, Prairie softball
Taylor Bussey has been voted The Columbian’s high school athlete of the week for the weeks of March 26-April 7 by a vote of fans on Facebook.
Bussey collected 64.1 percent of the 217 votes cast this week to beat out Columbia River girls golfer Chloe Bartek, who had 20.1 percent.
In two league games, Bussey went 6 for 10 with a double, home run and five RBI, including a two-run double in a win over Columbia River.
Other candidates were Battle Ground baseball player Hayden Humphrey, Union boys track and field athlete Micah Merfeld and Evergreen boys soccer player Timur Zhividze.
